Vancouver Aquarium, Marine Science Centre : Sea Otters [Enhydra lutris], live in kelp forests, bays and coastal waters near islands, reefs and fjords in the North Pacific Ocean. In British Columbia, they can be found along the west coast of northern Vancouver Island and the central coast bear Bella Bella. They have one of the thickest fur coats in the animal kingdom and depend on their fur to keep them warm, as they have no insulating blubber layer. Card sent by Susan.
